Victoria Teachers Federal Credit Union (MyVTFCU) is seeking a candidate for full time employment opportunities with our credit union as a Member Service Representative.
Candidates selected for this position must be able to work at our branch in Victoria, TX. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm.
As a Member Service Representative (MSR) you will be the face of MyVTFCU, providing exceptional service to our members and prospective members in a role that combines both Teller and Personal Banker functions. You'll engage with our members and prospective members to build relationships, utilize your problem-solving skills to identify needs, and educate them on products and services that will improve their financial well-being and quality of life.
Job Description
TITLE: Member service representative
REPORTS TO: Manager
Purpose:
Serve as a liaison between the members and the credit union. Responsible for providing accurate account information, opening new accounts, and professionally handling members daily credit union needs. Provide a variety of transaction services to members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
2. Provide in-person and by-telephone general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies.
3. Respond to members’ requests, problems and complaints and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
4. Open new accounts, and service existing accounts. Set up new account files, and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
5. Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, share deposits, and any other requests received from members.
6. Process members mail transactions.
7. Mail receipts and checks to members as indicated by policy or procedure.
8. Research accounts for deposit, withdrawal, and loan-payment discrepancies.
9. Assist members in balancing their accounts.
10. Assist members with the proper completion of payroll deduction and direct deposit forms.
11. Prepare, run and post all member payroll reports.
12. Assist in keeping the office clean and neat for members.
13. Any and all other assignments delegated by manager.
