Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Quality Assurance focuses on implementing and monitoring quality assurance efforts for DDS, MassAbility, and employee training/certification programs. This role ensures program compliance with all relevant regulations while supporting ongoing staff development and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee quality assurance compliance for DDS, MassAbility, and related service programs.
• Develop and implement tools to monitor staff certifications, employee training, and program compliance.
• Facilitate state-related audits (i.e. OQE, COA) and ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Conduct reviews of client and program records to verify adherence to quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborate with program managers to identify gaps, implement corrective action plans (CAPAs), and improve service delivery.
• Manage systems to track and monitor staff certifications, such as CPR, First Aid, and mandated training programs.
• Provide oversight for incident reporting processes within DDS and MassAbility programs, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor annual staff training calendars and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
• Assist in preparing quality assurance reports, highlighting program performance, training compliance, and audit outcomes.
• Support the Director of QA in developing long-term strategies for training and certification compliance.
• Train and mentor program staff on quality assurance protocols and regulatory expectations.
• Participate in developing systems and workflows to enhance efficiency in service delivery and compliance monitoring.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, staff training, or compliance within human services programs.
• Strong understanding of DDS regulations and employee certification requirements.
• Experience conducting audits, staff training, and program oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data tracking systems (experience with Credible and HCSIS is preferred).
