Job Description
Vighter Medical Group is seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide healthcare services in a detention setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified EMT.
The EMT will be responsible for providing emergency care, conducting medical history and physical assessments, determining chief complaints, and initiating and maintaining compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified EMT
- A current, active, valid, unencumbered license/registration/certification to practice healthcare in the state in which the candidate will work
- A current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved organization
- Ability to perform BLS/CPR if necessary and assist patients into/out of a wheelchair
