Viking Tree & Landscaping, based in North Reading, MA is actively looking for a key team member to support and help accelerate our growth. We are seeking a detail-oriented oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to manage our financial records, ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes and oversee our back-office function. In this dynamic position, you will serve as the conduit and support system between our sales, operations, and management teams. If you have experience working in construction or landscaping, you would be able to hit the ground running. We would be open to someone outside the industry with the ability to work in a sometimes hectic / blue collar type of environment. Responsibilities
· Bookkeeping (Invoicing, AP / AP, Reconciliation)
· Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
· Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
· Collaborate with external accountants during audits or tax preparation.
· Administrative Support
· Human Resources / Benefits / Insurance Admin
· Operations Team Support (Scheduling, Material procurement, inventory management)
· Purchase order system management & job costing.
· Subcontractor & Supplier Management
Skills
· Proficiency in QuickBooks.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Experience in financial report writing to communicate findings effectively.
· Ability to perform account reconciliation with attention to detail.
· Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including managing customer payments.
· Familiarity with debits and credits in bookkeeping practices.
· Experience handling payroll processing accurately.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, calibrating with different teammates.
