The Crewperson position performs a variety of maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of Village streets, buildings, trees, parks, equipment, and storm water drainage infrastructure. The Department of Public Works has a team of 12 Crewpersons lead by a Foreman and Superintendent. Ideal applicants will possess a CDL license with a class B endorsement, but all applications will be considered. This position does require residency within 20 miles of the Village of Grafton boundaries to meet emergency response needs.

The Village of Grafton offers a full benefits package including low deductible health insurance and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System pension program, which is the among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country. 2025 starting wages are $23.55/hour - $29.36/hour depending on qualifications, with growth opportunities up to $33.75. Final candidate should anticipate a background check and pass a physical exam and drug test.
