We are actively seeking a passionate Floor Manager who will serve as the driving force behind the success of our Meso Modern Mediterranean Restaurant in San Jose, California. In this pivotal role, you will cultivate a vibrant and positive work environment where both guests and staff can truly flourish. As an experienced leader, you'll set the standard for exceptional service, inspire a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and help create an inviting atmosphere that not only delights our guests but also ensures they keep returning for more.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the front-of-house team to provide outstanding hospitality and seamless service
- Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Foster a positive and team-oriented culture, promoting engagement and collaboration
- Monitor the dining floor, proactively addressing guest needs and resolving issues efficiently
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes of new employees
- Handle staffing challenges, operational issues, and service adjustments in real time
- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that encourages guest loyalty and repeat visits
- 2 years of experience in a restaurant leadership role, preferably in a steakhouse or fine-dining restaurant
- Strong knowledge of upscale dining service standards, wine pairing, and menu presentation
- Experience managing guest reservations and familiarity with reservation platforms like OpenTable
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling, and inventory management is a plus
- A natural leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle feedback professionally
- Maintaining a polished appearance and adhering to business casual attire is essential.
- Calm and effective under pressure, especially during peak service times
Leadership & People Skills
- Lead by example, setting the tone for professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations, menu updates, and daily priorities to maintain high standards
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes both guest and team satisfaction
Operational Expertise
- Work closely with the Front of House manager to achieve operational goals and maintain the restaurant's overall success.
- Work closely with senior management to implement process improvements and enhance service flow
- Assist in managing scheduling, inventory, and staff development plans.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns to ensure every visit exceeds expectations.
