We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to monitor the flow of people through airport Exit Lanes, ensuring that only authorized personnel re-enter the Sterile Area. The Exit Lane Monitor will be responsible for preventing unauthorized access while adhering strictly to TSA procedures and reporting protocols.

- Monitor individuals exiting the Sterile Area to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Prevent unauthorized access by verifying credentials and identification before granting entry.
- Follow TSA instructions precisely when verifying authorization.
- Report any unauthorized entry immediately using TSA-approved reporting methods.
- Maintain constant communication with TSA via radio, cell phone, or other designated methods.
- Provide verbal instructions to prevent unauthorized entry but do not use physical force or restraint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for clear and firm verbal instructions.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-security environments.
- Prior experience in security or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Working in a high-security airport environment.
- Following strict TSA guidelines at all times.

By properly informing passengers about required procedures, this position helps reduce delays, minimizes re-screening, and improves overall throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide passengers through the divesting process before security screening.
- Provide clear instructions on removing items to prevent alarms or delays.
- Advise passengers to place personal items in their carry-on bags instead of bins when possible.
- Ensure passengers understand and comply with the following divesting requirements:
- Remove all shoes.
- Place small metallic items (keys, coins, cellphones, headphones, large belt buckles, etc.) in carry-on bags or bins.
- Remove outer garments (coats, jackets, fleeces, scarves, etc.) and place them in a bin.
- Separate liquids, gels, and aerosols (LGA) from accessible property and place them in a bin.
- Remove laptops, tablets, and other large electronics, placing them flat in a bin with nothing on top.
- Place CPAP/BPAP devices in a bin, ensuring nothing is on top.
- Never ask individuals to remove medical devices attached to their bodies.
- If a passenger has a pacemaker or defibrillator, ensure they are not directed into the Walk-Through Metal Detector (WTMD).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to provide clear, concise instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with TSA procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-traffic airport setting.
- Prior experience in security, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
- Fast-paced airport security checkpoint environment.
- Standing and interacting with passengers for extended periods.
- Adhering to TSA guidelines and security protocols at all times.
- Experience in airport, customer service, or security-related fields.
- Multilingual or ASL skills are a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays. The busiest days at our airport are Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays.
- Must be able to clear background checks and security clearances for SeaTac Airport.

- Morning Shift: 4:45 AM β 1:15 PM
- Evening Shift: 1:30 PM β 11:30 PM
- Morning Shift: 4:45 AM β 2:45 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:45 PM β 11:30 PM
