What are the responsibilities and job description for the Count Room Team Member, Casino Operations position at Virgin Hotels?
This position reports to Mohegan Casino Las Vegas ("MGNV") as a Count Room Team Member within Casino Operations.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for participating in the day-to-day responsibilities and actions of the Count Room Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Inspect and prepare TITO paper stock for replacement on the casino floor
Assist in the movement and verification of funds and detection of counterfeit currency
Collect and transport all currency acceptor boxes to the Count Rooms
Count and record contents of the table drop and currency acceptor cash boxes
Scan and open currency acceptor boxes and open table games boxes
Load contents from the table games and currency acceptor boxes into the MPS or equivalent machine
Operate the MPS or equivalent machine on a daily basis
Assist the Count Room team in the replenishment and reconciliation of NRT or equivalent Units
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate the tow motor on the currency drop and the label pro scanner gun
Comply with casino regulatory rules and regulations and casino internal accounting controls
Assist in safeguarding against theft and ensure the security and integrity of all assets
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience with data entry and basic math skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to read, write and understand English
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Ability to operate MPS or equivalent machines
Proficiency in the use of an adding machine, ability to generate flawless tapes for submission, and accuracy in counting and recording currency
Knowledge of U.S. coin and currency and common bundling methods
Training Requirements:
Must obtain a Tow Motor license
Operational knowledge of the MPS or equivalent machine
Knowledge of applicable systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to push a slot ticket cart and an impressments cart
Must be physically able to access, service, and operate all required equipment on the casino floor
Must be able to use an "in-ear" communication device
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
