This job entails taking orders for and serving food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner while using suggestive selling techniques. Regularly greet, communicate, and converse with all guests. Set up and maintain Funny Library or Juice Bar in an attractive looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation. Make and serve coffee drinks. Educate and inform customers about the differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation and home brewing methods. Continuously check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature, and portions are correct. Be knowledgeable of all menu items. Be prepared to answer any guest questions in a direct, concise way. The candidate must also clear and clean tables as they are vacated. Listen and respond to guest requests or concerns. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

- Must love people and have a passion for serving others and the community
- Preparation will be key. Prep the coffee bar daily, maintain it during the shift and clean it nightly in preparation for the next shift
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, washing and polishing glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
- Stock the coffee bar, back of house, coolers FOH & BOH as necessary in accordance with company guidelines regarding liquor requisition, product needed to make all items on the menu
- Adhere to company standards regarding food and beverage knowledge
- Orchestrate an extraordinary guest experience through positive guest interaction
- Be able to guide guests through aspects of our hotel and our city
- Ensure that guests are of legal drinking age by asking for an appropriate ID card
- Handle a cash bank and adhere to company policies regarding money handling
- Accurately enter all items into POS system and charge guests accordingly
- Comply with sanitation standards and notify management of any issues
- Other duties as assigned
