The Operations and Communications Coordinator manages customer experience, communications, and business functions for VCU Career Services (VCS), engaging regularly with current and prospective students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff, families, and visitors. They oversee day-to-day program and administrative operations at our Monroe Park Campus suite and provide virtual support to team members and events on the VCU Health/MCV Campus. Additionally, this position serves as primary supervisor for the Commons suite front desk student workers and student marketing assistants. This position is responsible for day-to-day purchasing and communications/marketing efforts for VCS as well as serving as a liaison to division-level Communications, Finance, HR, and Technology professionals and counterparts in the Commons. They also help to set and maintain the communications strategy for the office, including keeping the staff updated with and accountable to policies, guidelines, and best practices.
