Assistant Patient Care Director, NICU
Step into your new leadership role at VHC Health! As our hospital continues to grow, we are looking to add a Assistant Patient Care Director (APCD) to our team. Our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cares for neonates from 23 weeks through full term in our 28 patient rooms, with a variety of disease processes. The NICU can accommodate as many as 44 patients with an average daily census of 17 patients.

Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Required
- Compact State Licensure in Nursing Required
- Certification in Area of Clinical Specialty Preferred
- BLS & NRP certifications required
Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote affiliation with professional and schools of nursing by providing preceptors, education, participating in educational conferences, and mentoring.
- Collaborates to conduct in-services.
- Develops, monitors, evaluates, and documents Continuous Quality Improvement activities in accordance with hospital, state, and The Joint Commission standards. Implements change according to results in coordination with appropriate leadership.
- Identifies potential process improvement deficiencies and actively participates in resolution through communication and education of staff.
- Assures quality of care and services by adhering to industry standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and benchmarks established by the organization.
- Consistently reviews patient survey results to identify feedback, sustain a high performance environment, and lead targeted improvements to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
