Job Duties
- Installation, configuration, set up and maintenance setup of desktop and laptop computer hardware and software for faculty, staff, and cadets.
- Provide telephone, walk-in, and e-mail support to the Barracks Help Desk/Lab and Faculty/Staff Help Desk as needed.
- Accurately document work in Help Desk Ticketing System.
- Obtain hardware and software quotes from vendors.
This position will be required to work on Campus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of hardware installation/repair and software configurations.
- Experience supporting Microsoft operating systems and the Office Suite.
- Must be dependable with a proven history of excellent work attendance.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Detail oriented with IT skills to perform basic troubleshooting.
- Must work well with minimal supervision.
- Must be self-motivated and use time wisely.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Able to work well independently as well as in a team setting.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
- Professional appearance and dress.
Additional Considerations
- Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or similar field.
- Previous PC technician experience.
- Previous MAC experience.
- Previous Help Desk experience.
