Position Summary: The Business Development Manager role is crucial to launching new product categories and strategic initiatives into the Virginia Tile footprint. Ultimately, resulting in exceeding budget goals. You will be tasked with supporting the initiatives by collaborating across all departments to ensure success. Tasks include but aren't limited to: sales team development, strategic direction and execution and interfacing with key customers.

- Negotiate and procure related products through new and existing manufacturers and Manufacturers Representatives
- Initiate, maintain and strengthen manufacturer relationships
- Solicit manufacturers for marketing campaigns, promotions, and product training
- Increase manufacturer awareness among Field Sales, Showroom Consultants and Customer Service teams to promote products.
- Organize marketing campaigns for related products
- Ensure proper tools are in stock to support promotions
- Monitor related product revenue and trends on a daily and monthly basis
- Propose and implement financial targets and actions for new and existing related product revenues
- Develop monthly reports (final monthly figures with comments and overview) with Management to make concise evaluation possible.
- Ensure all manufacturer information is loaded correctly into the company's system
- Act as an internal related product expert for all internal employees to build awareness and understanding
- Train Branch Managers, Sales Team, Showroom and Customer Service staff to ensure a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas to promote sales, and improve the customer experience
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Evaluate promotional plans with Senior Managers, Regional Managers, and Branch/Customer Service Managers to ensure they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
- Represent Virginia Tile by visiting customers to solicit feedback on related products
- Act as the installation product expert to manage and follow-up on claims involving related products. Work with Manufacturers Representatives to investigate and to appropriately resolve claims involving related products.
