Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for an operational leader to join an cannabis company as a Director of Production in the greater Portland, Oregon, area.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of a regulated, cannabis manufacturing and fulfillment facility. You will oversee all production (including extraction and kitchen), packaging, and fulfillment operations. As an experienced leader, you inspire the operations team to be compliant with all regulations and SOPs relating to safety, security, and health. Your prior team members would consider you to be a collaborative servant leader with a ‘can-do' attitude and a 'roll up your sleeves' work ethic, who is dedicated to setting the organization up for success. You will oversee scheduling, safety, administration, supply chain, quality, production, maintenance, tech stack/systems, and the logistics of the facility. With your proven leadership skills, you'll strive for continuous process improvement, better performance and customer relationships.
Your background should be a Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 3 years of experience managing a production manufacturing operation with at least 2 of these years having direct people management responsibilities. Cannabis experience is preferred for this position but if you have this in addition to working in a food grade production environment, this is preferred. You have strong communication and analytical skills, along with experience enforcing GMP and OSHA requirements, enabling you to explain (and you enjoy explaining) complex scientific information to non-scientific individuals. You also have experience with developing a production schedule, inventory management, supply chain, Google Suite, Excel, ERP Systems,, customer service, among other business functions, and are technology savvy.
Compensation: $90-$120K
