Overview :

The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue and fostering strong customer relationships within the organization. As the frontline of the sales operation, they are responsible for identifying, sourcing, and converting leads into clients, while maintaining and expanding existing accounts. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor solutions based on customer needs.

The Sales Representative is essential in conveying the company’s value proposition, ensuring that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. By effectively promoting products and services, they contribute significantly to the overall sales strategy and help achieve company-wide sales targets. Furthermore, they gather market intelligence, identify competitors, and provide feedback to improve products, shaping the organization’s strategic direction. Overall, the Sales Representative is integral in driving business growth and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize outreach efforts.
  • Manage a sales pipeline effectively using CRM tools.
  • Track sales metrics and report on performance regularly.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Provide support and training for customers as needed.
  • Resolve any customer inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Develop sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights for improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.

Required Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients easily.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings and events.
  • Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Position allows for remote and face-to-face sales activities, offering geographical flexibility within Bridgeport, NJ and Pennsylvania

    Must-Haves

  • Business development, prospecting, and pipeline growth experience&
  • Understanding of power generation and temperature control equipment and their applications&
  • Understanding the market opportunities and knowledge of the territory&
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining a minimum annual sales budget of $2 million, highlighting strong sales capabilities&
  • Possess a general understanding of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, energy storage, and load banks, contributing to informed sales discussions&
  • Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce&
  • Technical background or trade school in Power generation and HVAC / Temperature control equipment&
  • An existing book of business or contacts within a network of clients in the building and construction sector&
