Virtus manages individual investment accounts discretionally, focused on the Mexican and local market. We collaborate with multiple custodians from the United States, Mexico, and Switzerland. A Day in the Life of a Finance and Operations Associate
- Operations of investment portfolios with multiple custodians in different jurisdictions.
- Performing and supervising portfolio rebalancing of international multi-currency accounts such as periodically buying or selling assets in a portfolio to regain and maintain the desired asset allocation level.
- Monitoring margin accounts.
- Completing trade error reports in cases of trade error, reviewing customer complaints, and completing required forms in cases of complaints.
- Management of relationships with a focus on operations with institutional international counterparties, including providing trading to the company and its clients and communicating effectively with clients regarding investment accounts.
What We’re Looking
- Required SERIES 65 CERTIFICATION, Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam
- Spanish (preferred)
- A minimum of three-year experience in the operations involving rebalancing portfolios
- Bachelor’s degree required, finance or related fields are a plus
- Solid Bloomberg skills
- Have an interest in investing, finance, and economics
- Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Detail-oriented mindset and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and problem-solve on the fly with little guidance
- Good intuition and ability to assess unclear situations with limited information
