Key Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the care plan as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping.
- Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Transferring clients safely between different locations such as beds, chairs, and vehicles, if trained to do so.
- Monitoring and documenting any changes in clients’ health and well-being.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in need.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic cooking and light housekeeping abilities.
- Attention to detail, especially in monitoring health changes.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Completion of state-mandated training, which includes 2 days of paid classroom training and 1 day of paid on-the-job training.
