Job Overview
Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) is seeking a dynamic, self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running to promote our local not-for-profit organization to community stakeholders. This role requires creativity, initiative, and adaptability to serve as the eyes, ears, and voice of VNA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for relationship-building, community outreach, and innovative engagement strategies. Starting wage will be based on prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance VNA’s presence and impact.
- Act as the primary representative of VNA at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
- Create and implement creative engagement strategies to raise awareness of VNA’s mission and services.
- Communicate VNA’s impact effectively through storytelling, presentations, and public relations efforts.
- Spend significant time in the community promoting VNA while balancing office-based tasks such as planning, reporting, and follow-up.
- Adapt and innovate outreach efforts to align with community needs and organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in community outreach, public relations or marketing.
- Flexibility to work outside of traditional office hours as needed for events and meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in marketing OR minimum of five years’ experience working in the areas of development, event management, marketing and public relations, preferably in health care or not-for-profit.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
