Position Overview:
The Express Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and selling additional needed services to customers. The Express Service Advisor is the dealership's first-line customer relations and service representative. This role provides an excellent opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of the service department. Whether answering and making phone calls and emails or assisting service customers face to face, you'll be responsible for ensuring every customer has a positive lasting experience.

Essential Functions:
- Greet each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, and let customers who are waiting in line know that they will be serviced soon
- Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems
- Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed
- Schedule appointments using dealership-approved forms
- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles by the manufacturer's specifications, using maintenance menus
- Communicate the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the customer, including the extra cost and time consideration, and document properly on the repair order
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and return phone messages promptly
- Advise customers of parts ordered and make an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves
- Assist the service manager as necessary
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior experience in the automotive industry (1 years of dealership experience preferred)
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a favorable motor vehicle record
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
