About Us:
We are dedicated to our mission of increasing community vision of non-profit Breast Cancer organizations creating awareness and support through event coordination and acquisition. Our mission is to empower local communities and raise funds through impactful events and are looking for a passionate and driven Event Acquisition Specialist/Coordinator to join our team and help us expand our outreach and event opportunities.
Location: Gretna, LA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM, 40 hours a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Space Acquisition: Identify and secure new event spaces across the region that align with our mission. This includes engaging with local business owners, such as gas stations, strip malls, home improvement stores for our charity partners to set up to increase awareness.
- Metrics & Goals: Set, track, and achieve specific metrics and goals related to event acquisition and partnerships.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business owners and local coordinators. This includes regular communication and follow-ups to ensure ongoing partnerships.
- Community Engagement: Engage with local communities by creating presence in high foot-traffic areas and organizing activities such as bringing cookies to local businesses as a gesture of goodwill.
- Self-Management: Demonstrate a high level of autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities without needing constant supervision.
- Training & Mentorship: Assist in organizing training sessions for new local coordinators, pairing them with appropriate mentors based on personality and skills.
- Collaboration: Attend morning office meetings to collaborate with the team, share insights, and report on progress.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event coordination, acquisition, or a similar role, preferably within a non-profit environment.
- Strong understanding of the dynamics and challenges of non-profit organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for relationship-building and networking.
- Results-driven mindset with experience hitting specific metrics and goals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Not a job hopper; we are looking for a long-term commitment to help build out our system for event coordinator acquisition.
- Comfortable with cold calling and reaching out to potential partners.
