We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in the Muskogee area! What You Will Do
Our Retired Service Volunteer Program-RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to serve their communities. Volunteers are on the front lines meeting basic needs of the community. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our team and will be primarily responsible for assisting the RSVP Director with volunteer recruitment and volunteer recognition activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to travel approximately 80% and conduct site visits to all stations across the four counties served by VOAOK RSVP in Eastern Oklahoma.
- Help supervise and train all RSVP volunteers at orientation and throughout their volunteer tenure.
- Maintain monthly reports of all volunteer hours, volunteer stations, budgets, community awareness activities, and fundraising activities for the RSVP program.
- Develop and maintain effective and cooperative relations with internal and external partners-a variety of community organizations and agencies; communicate clearly and effectively with volunteers, external stakeholders, and employees.
- Assist the Director of Development and Director of RSVP with fundraising and community awareness; coordinate RSVP activities with various community organizations.
- Coordinate public speaking assignments of staff and volunteers; help with newsletters for volunteers; design and update brochures and forms necessary for the program operations.
What You Will Bring:
- At least two years of relevant administrative experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
- Have reliable transportation, a valid Drivers License, and proof of current liability automobile insurance (your name must be on the policy).
- Competent user of MS Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proficient at maintaining accurate records in a timely manner and ability to audit volunteer and volunteer station records.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to maintain satisfactory relations with others.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and make clear, sound judgements; ability to be a team player, detailed-oriented, a decision maker, self-starter, and self-motivator who demonstrates leadership qualities.
