Director of Faith Journey Mentorship Initiative

This initiative is administered under Voice Up Publishing Inc. launching a new brand entitled, Building Caring.
Building Caring will provide a new opportunity for all to share their faith journey in a way that inspires others to positive change.
Position Overview We seek a visionary leader to oversee our national Faith Journey Mentorship Program, managing a network of 20 remote mentors across the United States. The Executive Director will shape the strategic direction of our interfaith mentorship initiative while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for both mentors and program participants.
Strategic Leadership Responsibilities - Develop and implement strategic plans to scale the mentorship program across different regions - Establish program metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure impact - Build and maintain relationships with religious organizations, academic institutions, and community partners - Oversee budget management and resource allocation - Lead fundraising efforts and grant writing initiatives - Create and maintain program policies and procedures - Ensure compliance with academic credit requirements across different institutions
Team Management - Provide leadership and supervision to 20 remote mentors across various time zones - Develop and implement mentor training programs - Facilitate regular team meetings and professional development sessions - Create performance evaluation systems for mentors - Manage mentor recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development - Foster a collaborative culture that celebrates diverse faith perspectives
Program Development - Design curriculum and resources for mentor training - Establish best practices for virtual mentorship - Create crisis response protocols and ethical guidelines - Develop partnerships with academic institutions for internship credits - Implement technology solutions for program management - Design evaluation tools to measure program effectiveness
External Relations - Serve as the public face of the program - Build relationships with religious and spiritual leaders across faiths - Present at conferences and professional gatherings - Develop marketing and communications strategies - Manage stakeholder relationships - Write and publish about program impacts and lessons learned
Required Qualifications - 7 years of leadership experience in interfaith work, spiritual counseling, or related field - Demonstrated success managing remote teams - Experience with program development and evaluation - Strong track record in budget management and fundraising - Excellence in cross-cultural communication - Deep understanding of diverse faith traditions and spiritual practices
Preferred Qualifications - Masters or Doctorate in relevant field - Experience in higher education administration - Grant writing success - Publication record in relevant areas - Multilingual capabilities - Background in online learning or virtual community building
