Volk Transfer is seeking a Carrier Sales Manager to oversee daily coaching within our logistics department while driving revenue, load count growth, and fostering carrier relationships. This position is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain partnerships with transportation carriers to ensure cost-effective and reliable delivery.
- Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate contracts to optimize operations.
- Implement strategies to improve logistics performance and efficiency.
- Coach and mentor logistics staff to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications
- Communication and Sales skills
- Experience in Account Management and Sales Management
- Freight logistics knowledge
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, preferred
