Job Summary:
The Assistant AMP Specialist is an entry-level role designed to prepare individuals for a career as an AMP Specialist. The position provides hands-on experience in sales development, customer engagement, and product knowledge while receiving mentorship and training from experienced team members. This role focuses on building foundational skills in technical knowledge, sales strategy, and relationship management to support AMP Lighting's mission and meet sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development:
- Participate in structured training programs to learn about AMP Lighting’s product lines, including AMP Secure.
- Shadow experienced AMP Specialists to understand best practices in sales and customer engagement.
- Complete product knowledge assessments and receive ongoing coaching to enhance skills.
Sales Support:
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities by researching contractors and market trends.
- Support the sales team in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Contribute to the preparation of sales outreach strategies and campaigns.
Customer Interaction:
- Assist with product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Provide basic support to contractors and customers, escalating inquiries to the appropriate team member when necessary.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop foundational knowledge of AMP Lighting products
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Marketing and Reporting:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, customer interactions, and sales data in the company’s CRM system (HubSpot).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Interest in sales and the lighting, security, or construction industries.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and availability for local travel.
