What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOCUMENTATION INTERN position at VSolvit?

Responsibilities
● Assist in creating and formatting documents, including reports, memos, and presentations
● Manage Change requests received from various stakeholders and track completion of changes in a timely manner
● Proofread and edit documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company guidelines
● Maintain proper permissions and version control of documents located in organization repository when publishing changes to official documents
● Collaborate with team members to gather information and review content for documentation projects
● Conduct research and gather relevant data to support documentation needs
● Participate in meetings and discussions related to documentation processes and improvements
● Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding documentation standards and confidentiality
● Review work products and provide feedback on quality of information in documented processes
Basic Qualifications and Requirements
● Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working on multiple tasks
● Proficient in document management tools like Google apps (docs, sheets, slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
● Familiarity with formatting and style guidelines
● Basic understanding of document version control and file organization
● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
● Strong organizational and time management skills
● If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered
Preferred Skills
● Prior experience in documentation, technical writing, or related fields (e.g., through coursework or internships)
● Knowledge of using content management systems like Google Drive and Office 365
● Familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign) for document layout and design
● Basic understanding of information architecture and user experience principles
