What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trucking Dispatcher position at W.N. Morehouse Truck Line, Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services for the company's freight shipments
- Communicate with drivers and customers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of shipment details, including pickup and delivery times, freight charges, and any special instructions
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling questions in reference to shipment statuses
Skills:
- Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with drivers, carriers, and customers
- Knowledge of freight transportation planning and logistics processes
- Familiarity with AS400 system for data entry and retrieval
- Experience in transportation management or dispatching is preferred
- Ability to stay calm in fast-paced situations
- Strong organizational and time management
Customer Service experience is Preferred
Transportation experience is Preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
