Job Summary
The Design Engineer is responsible for research, designing new products, making improvements to existing products, and engineering documentation in SoildWorks. The Design Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager who will assign projects. The Design Engineer is expected to operate as part of a team working closely with the Projects Team to design products and documents according to customer specifications and needs.

The Design Engineer is responsible for research, designing new products, making improvements to existing products, and engineering documentation in SoildWorks. The Design Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager who will assign projects. The Design Engineer is expected to operate as part of a team working closely with the Projects Team to design products and documents according to customer specifications and needs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing new valve models in SolidWorks using 2D and 3D modeling
- Works closely with Engineering Manager or Operations to design valves and engineering documentation
- Works diligently to meet deadlines set forth by Engineering Manager or operational production schedule
- Create new drawings and edit existing drawing to meet customer and project specifications.
- Generate layouts and detailed calculations for new and modified equipment
- Ensure that manufacturing drawings are consistent with the working layouts for product design.
- Ensure all designs meet Industry standards, including ASME BPVC, API 6A, and API 6D.
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, but not required
- CAD experience a must
- Experience in creating engineering design reports
- Organized
- Ability to work independently but also with a team
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge of valve types and their functions
- Ability to work diligently with little to no direction
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to LVS driving guidelines
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Travel: less than 10%
- Lifting up to 20 pounds
