Job Summary - Bid Coordinator
The Bid Coordinator is a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills who will create and coordinate estimates for construction projects. The job the Bid Coordinator will provide superb customer service to all clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Their excellent listening and communication skills will ensure the timely and accurate creation of proposals and budgets, for both new and existing clients.

Computer including MS Windows, Word, Excel, Explorer, Bluebeam Estimating, Building Connected and Outlook. Ability to operate and work with general office equipment such as copier, telephone, fax, calculator, and/or typewriter.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Perform administrative duties to maintain the estimating department
- Phone call follow ups to bidders, must be comfortable talking on the phone with bidders
- Work within Building Connected to manage and follow up on subcontractor bidding process
- Download electronic bid documents
- Create electronic and hard files and perform filing
- Respond to all bid invitations
- Distribute bid invitations out of Building Connected to subcontractors and suppliers; collect resulting quotes
- Create bid books for estimator
- Order plans online when needed
- Print documents and drawings as directed by assigned Estimator
- Assist estimators on bids and perform bid qualification follow up
- Update bid schedule and Pipeline for upcoming projects
- Update master subcontractor matrix on a monthly basis
- Coordinate and assemble RFP response content
- Research, evaluate and coordinate marketing opportunities to develop new business
- Develop a broad subcontractor base for different project types and regions
- Interact with clients and consultants as it relates to the estimation process
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, subcontractors and clients
