Job Title: Customer Advocate

Job Type: Right to Hire

Pay Rate: $15/hr

Location: Springfield, IL


Job Description:

This position is responsible for researching and responding to telephone and written inquiries in a timely, accurate, and objective manner. It involves providing excellent customer service by resolving inquiries and offering support related to healthcare and health insurance matters.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Education verification not required)
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or health insurance setting
  • Ability to evaluate customer situations, make decisions, and quickly respond to inquiries
  • Data entry and/or typing experience
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and independent decision-making skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 6 months of data entry experience in an office setting
  • Experience with various lines of business, such as CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Referral preference for applicants who can meet testing criteria.
