Job Summary :

The Sales Director of National Accounts for Linear Lighting is responsible for the overall relationship management of Customers, National Accounts, and Sales Reps throughout the United States. In addition, The individual in this role is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals and increasing market share while exceeding customer expectations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets through National Accounts.
  • Execute company sales growth objectives via coordinated efforts with internal and external Business Development Teams, and driving new National Accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts with major clients to ensure their business needs are met from both a Functional and Decorative product offering perspective.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the achievement of sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Inside and outside Sales Teams to develop new business and increase overall sales through selling products to new and existing customers.
  • Identify challenges and collaborate toward a satisfactory resolution.
  • Conduct in field market research and provide well thought out new product ideas including target market, suggested price points and anticipated sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development, Marketing, Submittals teams and other Sales managers to develop market research strategy to effectively identify customer needs.
  • Work with the R&D team to identify product specifications based on sales forecasts.
  • Work with global product and purchasing teams to identify cost associated with development of each product, analyze ROI and makes recommendations on products worth moving forward.
  • Coach, train, motivate and mentor Teams.
  • Manage within approved expense, returns and discount budgets.

Requirements :

  • 10 years Specification Sales leadership experience.
  • 10 years of Linear lighting product experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work-related experience in an innovative, fast paced, entrepreneurial selling environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Linear lighting in the commercial and residential marketplace.
  • Deep knowledge of Linear lighting control and installation requirements.
  • Proven success in managing and developing National Accounts.
  • Solid technical ability to understand and support the marketplace.
  • Proven ability to be self-directed, with the ability to produce results independently
  • Ability and willingness for 60 to 70% travel.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of giving in-depth product training to other managers and customers alike.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to meet tight and changing deadlines.
  • Effective presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to drive directives through non-direct reports.
  • Attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • The expected compensation is $150,000-195,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
