What you will do:
The Supply Chain Specialist I is responsible for planning the Charleston Polysilicon production raw material supply based on short and mid-term forecasting. In addition this role will monitor and maintain quantity and quality requirements; schedule material flows of Silicon Metal and/ or Silanes, product changes, specifications, documentation, and labels; and act as key user in SAP, MES, navigators, rolling forecasts, etc. Also, this role assumes responsibility for inventories, material flows, material balancing, and month end closing; interacts and collaborates with internal and external vendors and customers; collaborates and maintains close alignment with the control center in Germany, while working interdepartmentally and cross-functionally in a global matrixed environment; and works closely with other functions and departments to understand demand capacities and bottlenecks to drive successful service level commitments to customers and end users. The Supply Chain Specialist I will also evaluate current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of month end balancing and scheduling, as well as develops workarounds and solutions to Supply Chain challenges, while utilizing ERP data to creates reports to drive key insights into efficiency, KPI’s and performance metrics.

- Schedule the production volumes aligned via rolling forecasts for Polysilicon planning requirements to meet forecasted quantities.
- Create process orders based on material movements.
- Coordinate monthly scheduling for chlorosilanes/ polysilicon.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory of all silanes and polysilicon products (incl. Si Metal), daily SAP booking, and adjustments to meet inventory levels (Ex.: Si Metal as well as other material flows).
- Schedule of all Si Metal deliveries, including Purchase Requisitions, collaborating with suppliers and production teams.
- Perform monthly chlorosilanes balancing incl. HDK as well as month end closing.
- Creating, and reviewing monthly production reports and all daily KPI reporting. (Example: Rolling forecasts and Navigators to be checked and updated daily.)
- Maintain logs and records of required documentation. Key user for SAP and MES application as well other Supply Chain relevant systems and/or applications to properly extract data and develop relevant global information sharing.
- Ensure accurate reporting. Proactively seek ways to advocate, innovate, and drive Supply Chain interests,
- Analysis of deviations in process orders in cooperation with production.
- Central contact person with respect to changes in products, specifications, documentation, and labels.
- Interact with internal and external customers and vendors, responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with global functions to understand capacities and demand driving realistic outcome to support operational needs.
- Act as deputy to their Supply Chain Specialist counterpart, filling in as necessary.
- Ensure departmental process compliance by developing and maintaining SOP’s, FMEA’s and other audits.
- Other ad hoc reporting and duties as requested.
What we need from you:
- Internal: Associate’s degree in a technical field; In lieu of Associate degree, minimum 5-7 years at Wacker in Logistics or Supply Chain roles with demonstrated progression.
- External: Associate’s degree in a technical field, bachelor's degree preferred in a related field; Minimum 3 years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain with 2 years in a planning or scheduling capacity.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and visualization). High level of proficiency with ERP systems (SAP & MES desirable). Working knowledge of cost accounting and reporting. Experience with rolling forecasts.
- Fluent in the English language
