We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking an Chemical Operator our site in Calvert City, KY.
What you will do :
The section 1 operator is assigned to a 12-hour shift divided into five positions : two Shotgun positions, one Utility operator, and 2 Control room board operators that rotate.
The section one operator is responsible for the manufacturing of the dispersions that are produced. They monitor batch make-up requests, manual chemical additions charging, and assist with troubleshooting, The two control room board operators are responsible for controlling the five reactors.
One of the control room board operators controls reactor systems 1, 2, & 6, while the other controls reactor systems 4-5.
It is the responsibility of each employee to know, understand, and diligently practice our EH&S and Security policies and practices.
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Learn and explain WCC / ISO procedures, rules and regulations.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Perform basic math skills
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative work environment with others
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
- Knowledge of LO / TO procedure
What we need from you :
High School diploma required; some college coursework is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of industrial plant experience is required, and a minimum of two years of chemical plant process operations experience is preferred.
