Regional Managers play a pivotal role in steering the success of their assigned region be overseeing all operational facets. Includes, but not limited to fostering a positive working environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Strategically aligning their region with Wag Hotels broader organizational goals. Their accountability extends to the effective management of provided resources, implementation of processes, and most importantly proactive problem solving to overcome challenges and create opportunities, which if done right ultimately contributes to the growth and profitability of the company.
Competencies:
Leadership & Development:
A. Helps coach, guide and share expectations with their regions General Manager.
B. Evaluates the General Managers success, shares on-going feedback, and delivers by guiding not doing.
C. Ensures the General Manager holds their team of leaders accountable to their role and responsibilities.
Problem recognition and resolution:
A. Proactively identify challenges and issues within the region.
B. Address problems with a careful, thoughtful, and considerate approach.
C. Implement effective solutions to mitigate and resolve issues.
Accountability for Regional Success:
A. Takes ownership and is accountable for the overall success of the region.
B. Monitor key performance indicators and take corrective actions as necessary.
C. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Goal Execution:
A. Drive the implementation of the company’s goals and initiatives within their assigned region.
B. Collaborate with cross-functional hotel support teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of objectives.
C. Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
Strategic Questioning & Process Improvements:
A. Evaluate existing strategies and processes within the region.
B. Question the effectiveness and efficiency of current Wag Hotels practices.
C. Make recommendations for improvements and implement changes to optimize our processes.
Performance Measurement:
A. Understand metrics to measure the success of their regions goals and initiatives.
B. Regularly report on insights to senior management.
C. Use data-driven approaches to assess performance and make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a similar field preferred.
- 3 years of management and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with CRM systems, and project management tools.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 2 years of Multi-Unit Management experience required
Physical and Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel to hotels within region regularly
- Ability to be around dogs and cats for an extended period of time.
