Summary: This is a highly visible role that supports the operational and financial planning & analysis needs of the executive team. The role is responsible for developing, measuring and communicating performance against financial and operational KPIs, preparing management reports, monitoring department and division financial and operating performance, analysis of strategic initiatives, budgeting and various special projects. This individual is viewed as a key stakeholder and thought leader in driving, defining and executing the company’s financial and operational planning strategy and is expected to contribute value across the enterprise.
The primary deliverable is timely and accurate financial and operational analyses clearly and concisely relating to the results of the business compared to historical results, budgets, forecast, benchmarks, customer expectations and other measures.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drive efficient, effective and comprehensive processes for developing financial plans and analyses that link to and support strategic objectives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and business strategic analysis preparing commentary and presentation materials
- Produce analysis/bridges of results vs forecast/budget/prior year developing insightful suggestions for revenue enhancement, cost reduction, investment, operational and sourcing improvements
- Provide thought leadership identifying improvement opportunities and driving them to conclusion
- Identify and lead projects to enhance the reporting and analytical infrastructure
- Maintain cash flow projections to identify risks and opportunities for the company
- Maintain financial reporting for the board and current and future investors
- Lead various functional area business analytics and support senior leaders in the organization
- Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned.

What You Need:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- MBA, FPAC or similar certification preferred
Experience:
- Eight plus years of accounting and finance experience
- Minimum of 3 years budgeting, forecasting and analysis experience
- Experience in private equity backed businesses
- Experience in the Warehousing and Logistics Industry is a plus
Knowledge/Skills:- Excellent knowledge of financial analysis, general accounting, and corporate finance
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (Great Plains, Management Reporter, Solver & Jet Reports)
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables and slicers
- Tableau, Power BI and SQL skills a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Sedentary work: sitting for long periods
- Movements frequently and regularly require using the wrists, hands, and fingers
- Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
- Able to hear average conversations and receive ordinary information
- Able to communicate verbally where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately or quickly
- Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery
- Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally
- Duties will also require working in a warehousing setting with multiple stairs and inclines, requiring the ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
