Overview
We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for grinding and finishing metal components to meet precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of various grinding techniques, and the ability to work with different materials. The Grinder will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Denesting of parts of all sizes
- Using a grinder to grind rough edges
- Requires ability to do basic mathematics.
- Count and verify the order has the correct quantity
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality in daily activities
- Once trained, must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work safely and possess a working knowledge of tools.
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Any other tasks as assigned by Wald Wire Management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grinding or similar roles within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, crouch, bend, and reach above the shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to warm, depending on the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks, and closed-toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
