What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Special Education Paraprofessional position at Walden School of Liberal Arts?
Local public charter school seeks to hire a special education paraprofessional as a one-on-one aide working with a 6th grade who receives special education services. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting student with integration into the general education classroom.
- Assisting student with behavioral modification in and out of the classroom
- Assisting student with cognitively appropriate lessons and assignments.
- Assisting student with social interactions in various settings.
- Establishing and maintaining a daily schedule and routine.
- Assisting student in following classroom procedures and expetations.
Qualified candidates will have a positive attitude, experience working with children or adults with disabilities and a strong work ethic. Additionally, candidates should be self-starters who have experience setting healthy boundaries and following procedures and protocols. All candidates MUST pass an FBI background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29 per week
