- Proactively source and manage new and existing client accounts to exceed private dining revenue goals through strategic outreach, site visits, and personalized communication.
- Coordinate and maintain all client correspondence, internal reports, and event files with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Events, Culinary, and Service to deliver seamless, high-touch guest experiences.
- Contribute to daily and strategic meetings, pre-event planning sessions, and ongoing training initiatives.
- Ensure timely, effective communication with internal teams and clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Participate in site inspections and own the sales process from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Analyze challenges and offer thoughtful, effective solutions to elevate the guest experience.
- Stay current on trends in the luxury event space, continuously innovating to enhance offerings and execution.
- Uphold and exemplify the Waldorf Astoria’s values, mission, and commitment to excellence in every client interaction.
- Foster and maintain long-term client relationships by setting clear expectations and consistently delivering on them.
- Monitor dining room flow, guest satisfaction, and table turnover to optimize floor efficiency without compromising service quality.
What are we looking for?
- At least one (1) year of hospitality-related experience at a managerial level, preferably within a high-end or luxury environment.
- Familiarity with hotel property management and sales systems, particularly Delphi.fdc preferred.
- A relevant degree or certification in business development, hospitality management, or event planning (e.g., CMP, CPCE) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on client interaction and guest service.
- Demonstrated success in sales, client relations, and business development.
- Excellent organizational and supervisory skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of food & beverage offerings, event menu design, and presentation standards.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Skilled in resolving guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and hospitality CRM platforms.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to set, track, and achieve performance objectives.
- Position requires a combination of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must be able to move efficiently throughout various departments of the hotel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly.
