JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer with expertise in performance testing, custom script development in C for Vugen, and JMeter scripting using Groovy. This role will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing performance test scripts, executing tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the system’s reliability and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop customized codes in C for optimizing and enhancing Vugen scripts.
- Develop customized scripts in JMeter using Groovy and BeanShell scripting.
- Design and execute performance tests to evaluate application scalability and stability.
- Capture and analyze monitoring data at various levels such as OS, WAS, JVM, and Database using tools like Uptime, Windows Performance Monitor, and WebSphere Application Server.
- Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure system performance meets business objectives.
- Prepare test plans and strategies that replicate real-world usage patterns and workload profiles.
- Develop performance test scripts using Microfocus Performance Center, JMeter, or IBM RPT based on project requirements.
- Interpret business objectives and translate them into performance engineering templates.
- Lead the Performance Engineering team in script development, test execution, and performance result analysis.
- Work with project stakeholders to gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and ensure test coverage.
- Prepare detailed Performance Test Reports with key performance metrics such as Transaction Response Time, Hits Per Second, Throughput, CPU & Memory Utilization.
- Manage defects, report findings, and work closely with development teams to optimize application performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of performance testing- please indicate where and when
- Ability to develop customized codes in script using C language for optimizing and enhancing Vugen scripts- please indicate where and when
- Ability to develop customized scripts using Jmeter by handing customizations using Groovy- please indicate where and when
