In-Person Director of Operations & Shipping / Receiving Manager

Location : In-person, Greenwich, CT Warehouse | Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM – 20% travel

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Director of Operations & Shipping / Receiving Manager to oversee all warehouse functions, manage inventory and logistics, and support key operational initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, and maintaining efficiency across inventory, shipping, and fulfillment. You will lead warehouse staff and interns, collaborating closely with leadership to execute special projects, implement new systems, and support major brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

Track and manage all incoming shipments from Bali, ensuring accuracy in inventory updates.
Oversee inventory check-in, reconciling against the production order.
Oversee inventory movement and transfers between locations, ensuring seamless logistics.
Manage trunk show packing and fulfillment, assisting as needed to meet deadlines.
Alert leadership when styles are running low and ensure timely restocking strategies.
Oversee twice yearly full warehouse inventory

Shipping & Fulfillment

Oversee and optimize the fulfillment of all wholesale and retail orders.

Troubleshoot and report any shipping discrepancies, delays, or customer fulfillment issues.

Ensure all special shipping requests and circumstances are handled promptly and accurately.

Oversee returns and exchanges, coordinating with customer service to ensure smooth processing.

Handle wholesale swaps, damages, and replacements in collaboration with sales and customer service teams.

Operations & Strategic Initiatives

Manage operational systems and efficiencies within the warehouse.

Oversee ERP system management, ensuring inventory accuracy and reporting integrity.

Track and manage the logistics of samples, and movement of any inventory.

Support event logistics, including special in-person activations and brand events.

Support logistics of opening and restocking our Watch Hill seasonal summer flagship store.

Reporting & Communication

Generate and distribute key reports, including :

o Weekly low-stock reports & ATS updates

o Monthly retail best sellers, style & color performance reports

o Weekly pre-order reports sent to factories

o Post shipment reporting

Provide leadership with insights on inventory trends, shipment issues, and warehouse performance.

Communicate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer service, and leadership to support company-wide initiatives.

Warehouse Leadership & Upkeep

Lead warehouse staff and interns, ensuring a productive, organized, and efficient work environment.

Manage the reordering of shipping and warehouse supplies to prevent shortages.

Maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse space, enforcing operational best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.

Experience with inventory and ERP systems (AIMS or similar preferred).

Strong organizational and process management skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
