RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Director Leads and directs all aspects of the facility maintenance department. This includes, but is not limited to,
Develops maintenance plans / Safety Compliance:
Establishing robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Scheduling all maintenance activities.
Leading / Coordinating / Performing equipment repairs.
Overseeing outside contractors.
Maintains records: Maintains records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.
Supervise Maintenance Staff:
Hires and trains new employees.
Schedule work crews.
Assign roles /responsibilities for staff.
Key leader of Maintenance / Safety Compliance: Works closely with other internal and external personnel / Collaborates with other internal / external stakeholders.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THIS ROLE:
40% - Oversees maintenance operations: Manages the maintenance department, including the work crews, assigning responsibility and supervising staff.
20% - Develops maintenance plans: Creates maintenance policies and procedures including how to meet or exceed OSHA and other agency requirements.
10% - Ensures compliance: Ensures that all maintenance work complies with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations.
10% - Coordinates Inspections: Coordinates inspections and audits as necessary.
10% - Maintains Records: Maintains records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties and inspections.
10% - Creates budgets: Develops budgets, capital and inventory.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION:
Technical or bachelors degree (bachelor's degree preferred) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Equivalent degree in facility operations, business, or management.
Equivalent experience with military or other structured training / experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial maintenance management: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
3-5 years of supervisory experience or equivalent with combined education / experience.
Military background is a plus.
SKILLS:
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, facility operations, business, management.- 5 years supervisory experience.- Military background is a plus.
