What are the responsibilities and job description for the NAC Program Clinical Experience Support Nurse - temporary position at Walla Walla County Fire District #4?
PURPOSE STATEMENT
In cooperation with the nurse educator, this position will supervise groups of up to ten students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- In cooperation with the nurse educator, supervise groups of up to ten students during clinical patient care training at local health care facilities. Observe and enforce facility policies at all times.
- Assist the nurse educator in the clinical rotation and the classroom skills lab.
- Work with the nurse educator in the planning and tracking of students in their clinical rotation.
- Report student observations, promptly bringing any significant issues to the attention of the nurse educator.
- Maintain complete and legible records of evaluation / observation of each student throughout the clinical internship.
- Assist in supervision and control of students in order to promote a safe, orderly and positive learning environment.
- Perform all duties in the position within the scope of the Walla Walla School District policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the nurse educator.
- Model appropriate and cooperative behavior, including protecting confidential information, consistent with district ethical guidelines.
