Job Summary
As a channel marketing strategist, you'll partner with category marketers across Walmart to devise automated email and push notification strategies that delight customers and drive business results. You'll also bring these strategies to life and drive innovation in collaboration with ops, product, analytics, creative & other teams.
What you'll do
- Own customer email and push notification marketing strategies from conception to execution
- Develop campaign strategies and plans that foster engagement at various stages of the customer journey and drive the business across verticals, with a focus on Walmart's recently active and engaged customers
Collaborate with product management, data science, engineering and creative to develop solutions at massive scale (machine learning personalization models, dynamic content strategies & technology, location-based push notifications, etc.) and launch new campaign types- Establish key performance indicators for initiatives, drive implementation of analytics requirements, conduct in-depth analyses and adjust campaigns or plans to maximize performance
- Develop testing plans and conduct A/B or multivariate tests in order to continuously grow email and push notification channels
- Oversee performance across all engagement and behavioral campaigns and present key insights to marketing management and business partners
- Review and approve CRM requests, marketing briefs and creative executions, ensuring highest level of quality and strategic thinking are delivered
Map customer journeys and become an in-house expert on Walmart customer engagement- Partner with email service provider and internal teams to understand capabilities/best practices and drive roadmap
- Develop quarterly and annual strategies and plans
What you'll bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of experience in a consumer facing email marketing or CRM role, with 1 years of experience in lifecycle/behavioral/trigger/automations marketing
Very strong quantitative background, with excellent data analysis and Excel skills. Hands-on experience using analytics tools such as Omniture and Tableau.- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a way that broad audiences can understand
- Good presentation skills and a knack for creating compelling PowerPoint presentations
- Innate marketing sense, as demonstrated through work improving customer experiences, writing world-class copy, developing amazing email marketing, etc.
Curiosity and an interest in diving into technical details; experience with coding or engineering a plus- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and analytics
- Comfort navigating large company environment
- Customer-obsession, entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, bias towards action and a well-rounded skill set
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Management Science, Marketing, or related field OR Bachelor of Science in a quantitative field and an MBA
