The Production Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:
- Learning to operate various production machines and equipment.
- Monitoring equipment operation to ensure proper function and identify any issues.
- Performing basic quality checks on finished products according to established standards.
- Assisting with material handling, including staging materials and moving finished goods.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Completing basic production reports and documentation.
- Communicating any equipment malfunctions or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Participating in on-the-job training to develop proficiency in different production processes.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A strong work ethic and a reliable attendance record.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
- Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is helpful.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to [Specify weight, e.g., 25-40] pounds.
- Basic communication skills.
- Previous experience in plastics manufacturing or extrusion is a plus.
- Must be able to work any of the three shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as needed.
- Reliable transportation to our facility in Providence, Rhode Island.
