Position Summary
Walsh University is seeking an Admissions Recruiter for Online Programs to support Degree Completion and Graduate Admissions recruitment and enrollment efforts. This position is responsible for the day-to-day recruitment, admissions, and academic advising of students enrolled through the Degree Completion and Graduate Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support and assist in the planning and implementation of departmental recruitment strategies and efforts targeted at Degree Completion and Graduate Students.
- Assists in planning and implementation of recruitment events to include but not limited to on- and off-campus events, virtual events and scheduling recruitment days with corporate/community partners.
- Outreach and travel to meet academic advisors and prospective students at colleges and universities, career/college fairs, regionally and in other states.
- Oversee and serve as primary admissions counselor for a suite of Degree Completion programs.
- Execute lead management protocol including direct mail, email, text message, and phone calls to leads.
- Ability to follow through professionally and consistently on inquiries, requests, and suggestions.
- Track and manage all necessary paperwork for the application, financial aid, and enrollment processes.
- Maintain excellent customer service and close working relationships with prospective and current students, staff and faculty, department chairs, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiate and maintain communication with past, present, and future program participants to support retention.
- Assist students in applicable university policies including, but not limited to: personal leave of absence, course and university withdrawal, company reimbursement, and course waiver and substitution questions.
- Perform other duties as directed or required by supervisor.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Duties require one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in sales, recruitment and/or admissions.
- Experience working with online education programs and adult learners.
- Experience with CRM preferred.
Skills and abilities:
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty. Positive attitude a must.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to resolve problems and to develop relevant alternatives and recommendations.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize ongoing and new projects necessary to implementing recruitment and admission strategies.
- Must be willing to work evening and weekends, as needed.
- The qualified candidate must be able to work within deadlines and have the ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
