Position Summary:

We are looking for an energetic and results driven team member to help manage the supply side of the W2G business which includes 3rd party logistics companies and transportation providers. The role will involve a combination of business development, customer support, operations management and network design.  

The team members will identify 3PL’s to join or leave the network, work with warehouse staff to onboard them to the  W2G platform, train warehouses on W2G standard operating procedures and ensure that the W2G network maintains desired KPI’s.  This will involve a mix of on-site visits and regular electronic communication.  In addition, the team members will collaborate with other W2G staff to drive new innovative features and capabilities into the W2G platform.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of senior leadership strategies and initiatives related to fulfillment and transportation 

• Work closely with W2G’s merchant sales and support teams to identify service and quality requirements and resolve issues 

• Develop new feature and product functionality recommendations to enable W2G’s fulfillment network to be more productive and efficient. Provide feedback during and after implementation.  

• Develop and collaborate on service procedures, policies and operations standards 

• Innovate with W2G team members to increase the value proposition across the entire W2G platform  

• Practice lean management and continual process improvement in day to day tasks 

• Conduct business development initiatives to attract key 3PL’s in key geographies to join the W2G platform. Monitor and track network needs and developments.   

• Manage a wide array of warehouse and transportation vendor relationships across multiple industry verticals and geographies.  Includes training, account management, contract discussions, performance reviews and problem resolution. 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for W2G network operational issues and resolution in your assigned geography.

• Monitor and enforce adherence to warehouse KPI / SLA targets and conduct root cause analysis to address underperformance 

• Support W2G sales team members in winning and onboarding new W2G merchant customers

• Be prepared for frequent domestic US travel that could reach 50% of work time

Required Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with 3PL operations and management in multiple industry verticals 

• Experience using warehouse and inventory management software/tools 

• Understanding of common shipping and transportation services 

• Familiar with specialty warehouse requirements/compliance such as Foreign Trade Zones, Hazmat, Perishables, Retail Compliance 

• eCommerce logistics experience preferred - B2C and B2B 

• Comfortable leading client facing business discussions 

• A no excuses, service-oriented approach to working with customers  

• Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage against priorities and timelines effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English 

• Must be a self-starter, accountable and able to work independently  

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Cloud-based collaboration tools (G Suite, Salesforce, etc) 

• College Bachelor’s degree required
