We are looking for an entry-level Business Analyst with experience in logistics to join our team and work on our order management system. In this role, you will gather and analyze business requirements, analyze data, and collaborate with our development team to implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, a strong understanding of data analysis and process flows, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This salary position is based out of our Home office but could be remote and will report to the product owner.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Use tools such as Excel, SQL, or specialized analytics tools for data analysis.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure a common understanding of business needs.
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather information.
- Create clear and concise documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the organization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, warehouse, and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Willingness to expand skillsets through continuous education.
- 3 years of customer-facing experience.
- 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel in a car and an airplane 15% of the time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods within an office environment.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
