Innkeeper Hospitality Services, LLC, is currently searching for a remarkable Housekeeper for The Warrior Hotel, Sioux City, Iowa.
Position Overview :
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. This position requires flexibility, as the employee will be cross-trained in multiple housekeeping roles, including Laundry, Houseperson, Room Attendant, and Public Area Attendant.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform all housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces according to hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
- Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.
- Perform Houseperson duties, such as replenishing housekeeping supplies, assisting with guest requests, and supporting room attendants as needed.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common spaces.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests, responding to requests professionally and promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements :
High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or cleaning standards preferred but not required.
This job requires the ability to perform the following :
Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
Must have vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
Must have upper body strength to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout an 8 hour shift.
Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout 8 hour shift.
Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into / out of closets during entire work day.
Material / Equipment Used
Basic residential cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaning equipment. Cleaning cart. Ladder / stepping stool. Commercial washers, dryers and pressers.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals on a continual basis.
Prolonged strenuous physical activity in indoor climate-controlled environment. Excessive heat and humidity in laundry.

Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues / complaints / requests / information updates, etc.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and / or holidays
