This position is not associated with Wasco County, but with the Columbia Gorge Humane Society.
General Summary:
The Shelter Manger is responsible for overall management of the shelter including supporting a team of 4-6 employees, managing animal care, facilitating adoptions, overseeing volunteers, managing our social media platforms, and managing the day-to-day operations of a small animal shelter. The Shelter Manger works directly with the public to help interested individuals and families though the adoption process. The ideal Shelter Manager is outgoing, has a people and dog-loving personality, and has the desire and ability to provide a positive experience for all CGHS visitors.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
The schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday but the candidate must have the ability to be flexible and respond to the daily needs of the shelter.
This position reports to and works with the CGHS Board of Directors.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
