We are currently seeking an Residential Assistant Service Manager for our new Solaire 7607 Old Georgetown property in Bethesda Maryland. This is a manager in training role intended to prepare you with the technical skills, leadership skills and experience to advance your career to a Residential Service Manager.
Your New Role
As an Assistant Service Manager, you ensure our communities are great places to live by keeping the building safe, clean and inviting and by resolving maintenance issues in residents’ apartment homes. As a manager in training, you develop leadership skills and learn more complex technical responsibilities like budgeting, preventative maintenance and project management. The majority of your day is spent providing outstanding customer service and attending to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance maintenance tickets. You assist with apartment turns, move ins, move outs and general upkeep of building common areas and grounds. You are an important member of a larger team responsible for ensuring the residents of the community have an exceptional experience as part of the WPC family.
What Sets You Apart
Experience: You have a minimum of four years of trusted experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, and/or hospitality building maintenance and a track record of exceptional customer service.
Skills: You demonstrate strength in building trades. You enjoy interactions with all types of people and take pride in your ability to make the customer happy by solving their maintenance issues. You treat everyone with kindness and respect. You are organized, neat and have an eye for detail. A high school GED is required. CFC certification is required. Trade school degree or coursework a plus.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions: You must possess the ability to lift, carry or move heavy equipment and boxes (up to 50lbs), regularly ascend or descend a ladder, or stand or sit for long periods of time. You may be required to work irregular hours (overnight, weekends, overtime). The physical work environment includes occasionally working outside, sometimes in inclement weather.
