What You’ll Do
The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Superintendent and will oversee a team of hourly personnel. This position ensures that all furnaces, production, and shipping functions meet all established goals and production standards. Daily, this person directs changes to production flow and may alter shift priorities based on current situations. This is a 2nd shift Monday – Friday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm position with occasional weekends.
Plans and executes pre-established production and manpower utilization standards
Ensures quality standards are maintained to meet production specifications
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding production/maintenance, safety, manpower, and utilization
Troubleshoots equipment and works to improve processes to maximize production
Supervises and drives productivity to employees on 2nd shift
Recommends methods of improvement to efficiently utilize production tools
Assists in training new employees
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
Have 5 years of technical experience and/or demonstrated proficiency in plant day to day operations
Possess good analytical skills and be detail oriented
Be able to meet deadlines and work well in a team environment
Have in depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
